Welcome to the Web site of The Evangelical Lutheran Church Of The Reformation, Toledo, Ohio

BIG CHANGES ARE COMING!!!!!!

At separate congregational meetings, the congregations of Bethany Lutheran Church, on Upton Avenue, and Reformation Lutheran Church voted to join together and become one, new church. This has been the result of many years of discussions, meetings and, most importantly, prayers. The new church will occupy the building currently called Reformation Lutheran Church. The address is the only thing that will remain the same. Our new church will have a new name, new programs, and an increasing presence in the community.

The name of our new church is Faith United Lutheran Church. We are very excited to be able to continue offering the West Toledo area a strong Christian presence and programs to help all our neighbors. Our first worship service will be on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. and all are welcome in God’s House.

UPCOMING EVENTS

CLOSING OF THE CONGREGATION WORSHIP SERVICE

On Sunday, December 23rd, Reformation will be holding a special, closing of the congregation worship service. This is a solemn occasion for us, as there will no longer be a Reformation Lutheran Church on Douglas Road in Toledo. The service begins at 9:00 a.m. We would genuinely love to see all of our past and present members to attend, as all have been a part in making Reformation what it has been.

CHRISTMAS EVE FESTIVAL WORSHIP SERVICE

We will be celebrating the birth of Christ at a Festival Worship Service at 7:00 pm on Monday, December 24, 2018.

Pre-service carol singing will begin at 6:30 pm. The Reformation Brass Ensemble will be playing, and the choir has some beautiful music prepared. This is a candlelight service as well. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bethany Lutheran Church will celebrate with a service at 11:00 pm.

Nifty Fifty Group

On Monday, September 9th, Reformation and Bethany Lutheran Churches will be starting back up the Nifty Fifty Group. This group meets the first Monday of each month at 12:00 p.m. at Rick’s Diner on Monroe Street. The group meets to enjoy a meal, talk and pray for the churches, the members and all those in need of prayer. You don’t have to be 50 to join this group. There is no fee; just buying your own lunch. It is a comfortable, relaxed way to get to know people and to get to know God and the power of prayer.

Visitors:  What To Expect:

We are excited to worship God with you! Every week we gather to remember God’s amazing love for us and to hear and receive Jesus’ forgiveness and peace. During each worship service, we share together in the wonder of the Good News of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection through singing, the reading of scripture, and preaching. Each week we receive the sacrament of Holy Communion, and all people who are baptized and believe in Christ’s real presence are welcome at our Lord’s Table.

Parking is available in the rear of the church.  The church is completely handicapped accessible.  Greeters will direct you to the sanctuary and other facilities.  We look forward to your visit.
